The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has dismissed criticisms on social media of leaving the Ong Ang Canal, which had become a popular walking street during the previous government, to become polluted again.

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration said yesterday that the Klong Ong Ang landscape-development measures and the demolition of canal-blocking structures would go ahead and should be completed by December.
